This past week I visited the Kelso Sand Dunes and the city of Nipton with my fellow Comrades in Art.
What a journey..what an incredible place of introspection and inspiration.
From this communion will come a series of paintings..Nocturne and daylight work.
To commune with nature and with each other is to be alive.
I left a poem in that place and was given something greater.
We climbed.. soaked in sand.. and wandered through fields of broken glass and rust..
We found the fish..
We drank the wine of us..we crushed the seeds of thought into memory for trees to grow from them
There is life in the desert..thousands of footprints
..thousand of circles made by the wind.
We stepped into the round and found our internal ground.
We were on the moon.
